We stopped into Fishin Frank’s to get some frozen bait on Wednesday afternoon as we were going grouper fishing 35 miles out from Boca Grande Pass on Thursday. Robert gave us some good tips on salting down the sardines and then cover them with some ice. We did that and the bait worked well. Robert also suggested we use an extra rod to rig up a ballyhoo and free line it about 50 or 60 feet away from the boat. We did that and a 33 inch King hit it and gave a great fight. Here is a picture of the fish. Thanks for all the advice. It really helps a novice like us.
